Who is Faye Marraine? The words come from the French: Fée (pronounced Fay, of course) means Fairy. Marraine means Godmother. All designs are the work of artist Janice Mastin-Kamps, an incurably romantic lady of “a certain age” who has always known she is a Fairy Godmother… who, after all, has the happiest duties in the Cinderella story. She designs the lovely clothes; she creates the magic of the evening; she has none of Cinderella’s worries:
“Is my hair all right? The Fairy Godmother sends Cinderella off to the ball, then puts her feet up with a nice cup of tea. She has had the great pleasure of creating beauty and championing happiness. She invites you to join her in this act of generous artistry! In real life, Jan has two beautiful grown children and enjoys the company of her own Prince Charming, to whom she has been happily married for more than thirty years! Jan has studied clothing and surface design, formally and informally, all her life. She is now introducing her exquisite designs as patterns that your devoted hands will make for those you love.
