I’ll create one of a
kind garments sized and embellished uniquely for you.
They may include Ceremonial attire, Liturgical garments, Weddings (I
will create just one wedding a year. Please contact me for
availability) and Evening or special occasion attire
These special garments need time and care.
The design process takes time—I want you to be happy!
1) Help me understand what you need. First, you’ll contact me.
We’ll talk at length about your needs and your ideas, and your
timeline. I’ll ask you lots of questions. I must get a glimpse of
your vision, and of course your budget for this garment! There’s an
order form you can use to get started, (click
here) but in most cases we’ll still need to talk.
2) Send me a picture and a small payment to begin. You’ll send me a
clear top-to-toe photo (in close-fitting attire) of each person I’m
designing for. This is important—I’ll want to design a garment that
flatters your unique body! Please send payment of $25.00 at this
point. This will be applied to the total for the project.
3) I’ll send preliminary sketches. I’ll mail or email you (your choice) a
few idea sketches for garments with embellishments. These will not
be very detailed: they simply establish the silhouette and line of
the design you prefer.
4) You choose your favorite. You’ll tell me which sketch you prefer…
and please suggest modifications!
5) You receive a finished drawing and the details! I’ll send you a
detailed sketch with swatches and at least two pricing options,
measuring instructions for a custom pattern, and a contract.
6) The magic begins! Once I have your signed contract, your
measurements, and 50% of the total (less the $25 you sent earlier)
7) We make sure it fits. If this is a fitted garment, I will send
you a muslin version of the design to check the fit. You’ll try
this on and let me know of any modifications. You can send it back
to me with your markings if need be. (We’ll skip this step if it is
a loose-fitting robe or cassock.)
8) Updates! You may request updates on your garment at any time! Or
you can request email updates at regular intervals
9) The garment is ready! Once the garment is completed, I’ll bill
you for the balance with a delivery date and method.
10) Into your own hands! One fine day a fabulous package will be
delivered to your door… |
